Description
When your Maxxum starts wandering down the road or you’re fighting the steering wheel to keep straight rows, it’s usually a worn track rod end causing the problem. This left-hand track rod end is built specifically for Case IH Maxxum 5120, 5130, 5140, and 5150 tractors, giving you back the tight, responsive steering these machines had when new.
What You’re Getting
- Precision 205mm overall length maintains proper steering geometry
- M24 x 1.5 right-hand thread fits your existing tie rod perfectly
- Heavy-duty ball joint construction handles the loads these 100+ horsepower tractors dish out
- Quality materials and sealed design keep contamination out better than original parts
- Direct bolt-in replacement – no modifications needed
Built for Maxxum Work
These mid-range Maxxums are workhorses that see everything from loader duty around the farmstead to heavy fieldwork with big implements. Whether your 5140 is pushing a loaded mixer wagon or your 5150 is working steep ground with a heavy disc, this track rod end handles the constant steering loads and road shock these applications create.
Made to Last
Track rod ends take a beating from constant steering inputs, road vibration, and exposure to dirt and moisture. This replacement uses quality steel construction with proper heat treatment to resist wear and deformation. The sealed ball joint design keeps grease in and contaminants out, extending service life well beyond typical aftermarket parts.
Installation Notes
Mark the old track rod end’s position on the tie rod before removal to maintain your toe-in setting. Use a proper ball joint separator to avoid damaging the steering arm – beating on it with a hammer usually makes things worse. Clean the tapered hole thoroughly before installing the new end, and torque the castle nut to spec without backing off to align the cotter pin hole. Check that steering moves smoothly through full travel after installation.
