Good to Know
When you’re replacing the pump body, it’s a perfect time to check your seals and impeller while you’ve got everything apart. Make sure all the old gasket material is cleaned off the mating surfaces before installing the new body – a little carburetor cleaner on a rag does the trick. Don’t overtighten the bolts when reassembling, as the poly material can crack if you get too aggressive with it.
