Description
When your flex wing mower starts shaking or making noise when the wings fold up and down, it’s usually the CV joints crying for help. This complete CV driveline is built specifically for flex wing applications where standard U-joints just can’t handle the extreme angles and constant flexing that comes with following ground contours and wing movement. No more vibration, no more binding – just smooth power transfer even when your mower is working those tough angles.
What You’re Getting
- Complete Cat 6 CV driveline rated for the power demands of modern flex wing mowers
- Walterscheid 2580 series star tube construction that handles side loads and torque without binding
- Auto-Lok tractor yoke that locks onto your PTO shaft automatically – no pins to fumble with
- 1-3/4″-20 spline clamp yoke on the implement end for secure, wobble-free connection
- 55″ compressed length works with most mid-size flex wing setups
Built for Real Farm Work
This driveline is engineered for tractors in the 60-120 horsepower range running flex wing mowers, where the wings need to articulate through varying terrain. Whether you’re cutting roadsides with a lot of dips and hills or maintaining pastures with uneven ground, this CV setup lets your mower follow the contours without fighting the driveline.
Made to Last
The star tube design distributes stress better than traditional round shafting, and the CV joints are built to handle thousands of hours of flexing without wearing out. Walterscheid doesn’t cut corners on metallurgy – these components are heat-treated and precision-machined to handle real-world abuse while maintaining smooth operation season after season.
Installation Notes
This is a direct replacement for worn CV drivelines on flex wing mowers. The Auto-Lok tractor yoke slides right onto your 1-3/8″ 6-spline PTO shaft and locks automatically. Make sure your compressed length measurement matches – too long and the CV joints bind, too short and you’ll have connection issues when the mower articulates. Always grease the CV joints before first use and check them regularly during the season.
