Installation Notes
Clean the seal bore thoroughly and check for scoring, use proper installation tools to avoid cocking the seal, and pre-lubricate the seal lips with gear oil. Replace seals in pairs for best results and consider checking your planetary gear condition while you’re in there. If seals keep failing, worn bearings might be allowing shaft movement that destroys new seals.
