Description
When your trusty International Harvester starts burning oil, knocking on cold mornings, or just doesn’t have the pull it used to, it’s time for some serious engine work. This basic in-frame overhaul kit gets you back to full power without the cost and downtime of pulling the whole engine apart. You’ll freshen up the cylinder bores, get proper compression back, and stop that oil consumption that’s been eating into your budget.
What You’re Getting
- Complete cylinder sleeve set with seals for a fresh bore that’ll last for years
- High-compression stepped-head pistons designed for the power these old tractors were meant to make
- Quality rings that seal tight and break in properly for long engine life
- New wrist pins and retainers to eliminate that annoying piston slap
- Valve-grind gasket set and oil pan gasket to stop the leaks and keep fluids where they belong
Built for Classic Farm Workhorses
This kit handles the basic in-frame rebuild and contains sleeves & sleeve seals, pistons & rings, pins & retainers, valve-grind gasket set, oil pan gasket. These International H, HV, O4, OS4, and W4 series tractors were the backbone of American farming for decades, pulling plows, running PTO work, and handling everything from cultivation to harvest. The 152 cubic inch gas engine in these machines was built tough but after years of hard work, they need this kind of refresh to keep going strong.
Made to Last
The Tru-Power brand has been trusted by farmers for decades, and they understand what it takes to handle the constant vibration and temperature cycles of tractor work. These sleeves are properly sized for your 3-3/8 inch bore with 3-7/16 inch overbore capability, and the stepped-head pistons give you the compression ratio these engines need for good power and fuel economy.
Good to Know
This is an in-frame job, meaning you can do the work with the engine still in the tractor. You’ll need to pull the head and oil pan, but the block stays put. Take time to check your crankshaft journals and connecting rod bearings while you’re in there—if they need attention, you’ll want to step up to a complete overhaul kit instead.
