Description
Nothing gets your attention faster than a soft brake pedal when you’re heading down a hill with a loaded trailer. This brake master cylinder fits the twin reservoir design found on McCormick MTX and MC series tractors, plus Landini Powermaster and Powermax models. When your brakes start feeling spongy or you spot brake fluid drops on the ground, this replacement gets you back to safe, reliable stopping power.
What You’re Getting
- Twin reservoir design with built-in pressure relief valve (PRV) for safety backup
- Servo hydraulic operation that multiplies pedal force for powerful braking
- Heavy-duty construction built to handle the demands of high-horsepower tractors
- Direct replacement that matches the original equipment specifications
- Compatible with LHM brake hydraulic fluid for proper system operation
Built for Real Farm Work
These master cylinders are designed for McCormick MTX series tractors from the 110 up to the 200-horsepower models, plus the MC series ranging from 80 to 130 horsepower. On the Landini side, it fits Powermaster tractors from 180 to 230 horsepower and Powermax models from 145 to 180. Whether you’re running a big MTX185 for field work or using a smaller MC90 around the farmstead, this cylinder handles the hydraulic pressure needed for confident braking.
Made to Last
High-horsepower tractors put serious demands on brake systems, especially when you’re hauling heavy loads or working steep ground. This unit features robust internal seals that won’t deteriorate from constant pressure cycles and the precision-machined bore ensures consistent brake pressure to both wheels. The servo hydraulic design means less pedal effort for you while still delivering the stopping power these big machines need.
Good to Know
This system uses LHM mineral oil, not regular DOT brake fluid. Using the wrong cylinder or fluid will cause immediate seal failure and brake loss. When you install the new cylinder, it’s a perfect time to flush the entire system with fresh LHM fluid and check your brake slave cylinders too. Don’t forget to bench-bleed the master cylinder before installation to prevent air pockets in the system.
