Description
You know that clicking or grinding sound from your PTO shaft means one thing – time to rebuild those U-joints before they leave you stranded in the field. When universal joints wear out, they don’t just make noise – they create dangerous vibrations that can destroy implements, damage tractor gearboxes, or worse. This Weasler 0675 series cross and bearing kit gives you everything needed to rebuild those worn universal joints, bringing back smooth power transmission and eliminating the dangerous vibrations.
What You’re Getting
- Complete kit includes precisely machined crosses that maintain exact 90-degree angles between bearing journals for proper power transfer
- Needle bearings manufactured to tight tolerances, providing smooth rotation without the slop that causes accelerated wear
- Standard duty construction built for regular farm work and moderate horsepower applications
- External snap rings mean you can service these joints without special pullers or presses – just basic hand tools and some patience
Built for Real Farm Work
This 0675 series kit handles the demands of smaller to mid-size PTO applications where durability matters but you don’t need the heavy-duty construction of larger series. The 15/16 inch bearing cap diameter and 2-5/16 inch overall length make it suitable for implements like small rotary cutters, tedders, spreaders, and other equipment that operates at moderate power levels.
Made to Last
Weasler doesn’t mess around with PTO components – they know lives depend on quality. This kit uses the same materials and manufacturing standards as original equipment, so you get reliable performance that won’t let you down during critical work periods.
Installation Notes
Replacing U-joints isn’t rocket science, but it demands attention to detail. Start by marking your yoke positions – proper phasing prevents vibration. Remove snap rings carefully as they love to fly across the shop. Never reuse snap rings – they lose tension and pop out when you least expect it. Keep the work area clean and grease thoroughly after assembly.
