Description
When your Bush Hog rotary mower hits a stump, rock, or something else that stops the blades cold, a good slip clutch is what keeps your PTO shaft and gearbox from turning into expensive scrap metal. This friction disc is the key component that lets things slip when they need to, then grabs again once you’re back to cutting grass and brush.
What You’re Getting
- Precision-sized friction material that grips just right – not too loose, not too grabby
- 6.5-inch outside diameter with 2.40-inch center bore fits Bush Hog clutch assemblies perfectly
- 0.135-inch thickness provides the correct spacing and friction surface area
- Quality friction material that handles the heat and stress of repeated slip-and-grab cycles
Built for Real Farm Work
This disc is made specifically for Bush Hog rotary cutters and mowers – the kind of equipment that sees rocks, stumps, fence posts, and whatever else gets in the way of a good day’s mowing. Bush Hog builds tough equipment, and this clutch disc is designed to match that durability while doing its job of protecting your more expensive drivetrain components.
Made to Last
The friction material on this disc is formulated to handle repeated heating and cooling cycles without glazing over or falling apart. It’ll grab when you need it to transfer power, slip when you hit something solid, then be ready to grab again without missing a beat.
Installation Notes
This disc fits between the clutch plates in your slip clutch assembly. When you’re rebuilding the clutch, pay attention to how the old disc was oriented – there’s usually a specific side that faces the pressure plate. A little anti-seize on the clutch bolts makes future maintenance easier, and don’t over-tighten the adjustment – you want it to slip when it needs to, not fight through obstacles.
