Built for Real Farm Work
This spindle fits a wide range of Ford New Holland tractors from the utility 5000 series through the bigger 7000 series row-crop machines, plus the 600 series and 10 series models. These workhorses are still running strong on farms everywhere, from the smaller 5000 handling hay and livestock duties to the bigger 6600 and 7600 models pulling larger implements for field work. Whether you’re doing loader work, cultivating, or hauling down the road, these tractors put serious stress on front-end components.
Made to Last
This spindle starts as a solid steel forging, then gets precision machined where it matters most. Those bearing surfaces aren’t just “smooth” – they’re ground to specific dimensions and surface finishes that bearings need for long life. The heavy construction handles the constant abuse from field work, road travel, and loader operations that these versatile tractors see every day.
Installation Notes
Installation requires about 2 hours per side if everything cooperates. Remove the wheel and hub assembly carefully – those bearings tell a story about how bad your spindle really is. Severe bearing damage usually means the spindle is seriously worn. During installation, new bearings and seals are cheap insurance. A new spindle with old bearings is false economy. Proper bearing adjustment after assembly is critical: snug them up while rotating, then back off to the first cotter pin hole.
