Description
When your Case IH tractor starts hesitating under load or you notice black smoke coming from the stack, dirty fuel could be the culprit. Modern diesel injection systems don’t tolerate contaminated fuel very well, and a clogged filter can leave you sitting in the field when there’s work to be done. This Baldwin BF5800 spin-on fuel filter keeps clean fuel flowing to your engine, protecting those expensive injection components from damage.
What You’re Getting
- Full 8-inch filter length provides maximum filtration capacity for longer service intervals
- 3-11/16 inch diameter fits properly in your filter housing without restriction
- Standard 1-12 thread specification matches factory mounting requirements perfectly
- Quality Baldwin construction with proven filtration media that captures contaminants while maintaining proper fuel flow
- Compatible with FB1301 filter base for complete fuel system protection
Built for Real Farm Work
This filter is designed for Case IH tractors equipped with Detroit Diesel engines, machines that typically handle heavy-duty applications like deep tillage, harvesting, and loader work where consistent power and fuel delivery are critical. Detroit Diesel engines are known for their durability and torque output, but they need clean fuel to perform at their best.
Made to Last
Baldwin has been building fuel filters for decades, and they understand what it takes to handle farm conditions. The robust canister construction withstands pressure fluctuations and vibration, while the reliable gasket ensures a leak-free seal that won’t fail when you’re counting on your tractor.
Installation Notes
This is a direct spin-on replacement that installs with basic hand tools. Apply a thin coat of clean diesel to the gasket before installation, then hand-tighten three-quarters turn after the gasket contacts the mounting surface. If your system uses an FB1301 base, this filter threads right on without any modifications needed.
