Description
When your old Ford tractor starts running rough, flooding, or won’t idle properly, there’s a good chance the carburetor float valve has seen better days. This little valve controls fuel flow into the carburetor bowl, and when it gets worn or the rubber deteriorates, you’ll get flooding or fuel starvation. This Viton float valve assembly fits the classic 9N, 2N, and 8N tractors (1939-1952), plus the 134 CID gas engines used from 1953-1957.
What You’re Getting
- Complete needle, seat, and gasket assembly – everything you need in one kit
- Viton rubber construction that resists fuel and heat better than standard rubber
- Precision .058″ orifice for proper fuel metering and smooth engine operation
- Direct factory replacement that installs without any modifications
Built for Real Farm Work
This valve assembly works with the Marvel Schebler carburetors that came on thousands of Ford tractors. Whether you’re running that old 9N for hay work, using your 2N around the farmyard, or restoring an 8N for weekend projects, this is the same quality valve that kept those tractors running for decades.
Made to Last
The Viton rubber in this assembly handles today’s ethanol fuels much better than the original equipment. It won’t swell, crack, or deteriorate like standard rubber, which means you’ll get years of reliable service instead of having to rebuild the carburetor again next season.
Good to Know
Installation involves removing the carburetor top and float assembly – straightforward work if you’re comfortable with basic carburetor service. While you’ve got things apart, it’s a good time to check the float for leaks and clean out any varnish or debris in the bowl.
