Description
When your John Deere 2350, 2355, or 2550 starts smoking, losing power, or burning oil, you know it’s time for more than just another oil change. These tractors have been the workhorses of many farms for decades, and when their 239 CID four-cylinder diesel engines need rebuilding, this complete overhaul kit gets them back to pulling strong through another generation of farming.
What You’re Getting
- Complete cylinder sleeves and sleeve seals that restore proper compression and eliminate blow-by
- New pistons with three-ring design and wrist pins that handle the power demands of heavy field work
- Full valve train components including intake and exhaust valves, springs, guides, and retainers for reliable breathing
- Complete gasket set and crankshaft seals to stop leaks and maintain proper lubrication
- Pin bushings and retainers engineered to handle the stress of PTO work and heavy pulling
Built for Real Farm Work
This kit is specifically designed for the standard compression 4.19-inch bore engines found in your 2350, 2355, and 2550 series tractors. These machines spent their lives doing everything from cultivating and planting to running balers and mowers, and this overhaul kit restores them to handle that same demanding work for years to come.
Made to Last
Every component in this kit meets or exceeds the specifications of your original engine parts. The three-ring pistons provide excellent sealing and long life, while the cylinder sleeves are built to handle the thermal cycling and pressure demands of diesel operation under load.
Installation Notes
This is a complete kit less bearings, so you’ll need to order rod and main bearings separately based on your crankshaft measurements. Don’t forget to check your connecting rod length and add the appropriate rod bolts—either TP-R74194 for 2.125-inch rods or TP-R80033 for 2.325-inch rods. Having a good machine shop check your crank and block saves headaches later.
